Mrs. Morrell

I was born in Vancouver and grew up in West Vancouver. When I was seventeen I became a Christian and felt God leading me to visit my relatives in England. There I met a dashing, youngRoyal Air Force pilot who later became my husband. We lived in England for three years before returning to Canada so he could pursue his flying career. We moved throughout Canada living in Terrace, Prince George, Edmonton and Ottawa. We eventually settled in Tsawwassen and attend Lighthouse Church in Ladner. We have three lovely daughters and eight wonderful grandchildren.

Professional

I was very blessed to be a stay-at-home mum for many years. During that time I took courses and received my Special Education Certificate from Langara College. I was hired by Delta SchoolDistrict as an educational assistant in K to 7. While working part time I attended Simon Fraser University and graduated with a Bachelor of Education and a professional teaching license. I have worked as a learning assistant teacher, a resource room teacher, a PE teacher, Teacher-on-call, an intermediate teacher and primary, teaching grade 2, 2/3, and 3 until I decided to retire 4 years ago. I currently teach on call at Delta Christian School.

Philosophical

I am very excited to teach at Delta Christian School where the focus is on God centered education. As students grow in their faith and know that God loves them very much they will thrive in their education. I look forward to teaching Christian principles and values that will be a foundation for the rest of their lives. It is because of Christ’s love and my love of learning that I became a teacher and I hope to pass that on.
