DCS After-School Care Program

The DCS After-School Care program is designed for K-5 students at Delta Christian School. The program is structured for those planning scheduled attendance one to five days per week throughout the term. The hours will run from 3:00 to 5:30 PM on school days. The goal is to provide a safe, inviting, and stimulating environment for the children who require a school-age, childcare program after school. An emphasis will be placed on building the whole child – physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially.

And Jesus matured growing up in both body and spirit, blessed by both God and people. Luke 2:52

The program will take a multi-age approach where older and younger students will interact to promote healthy social development. Older students will be given opportunities to grow in their leadership skills.

Registration will be limited to a maximum of 20 students/day and limited to K-5 students from Delta Christian School.

The program will be licensed through the Fraser Health Authority and operated by Delta Christian School. Becky Campbell will take the role of lead instructor and after-school care manager. Becky has most recently served as an Educational Assistant at DCS, with previous experience as a preschool teacher at Wind & Tide. Becky has a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her four children have all attended Delta Christian School.

Registration and Tuition

Registration will take place on a term-by-term basis. Families will be invoiced monthly on the 10th (on TUIO), based on the number of days attended each month. For example, September attendance will be invoiced on October 10. Partial daily rates are not available, and families will be charged the full daily rate regardless of the length of time attended that day. As spots are limited to 20 students, first preference will be given to families who are registering for full-time care. In order to help with planning, families will have to indicate the set days they plan to attend for the upcoming term. Families can select from one to five scheduled days per week for the term. For example, every Monday and Wednesday for term one. A minimum of five business days’ notice is required to register for the program. Same-day drop-ins will only be accepted from families who are already registered for the after-school program and pending space availability.
