Rio, Comfort Animal
 
Rio is a retired guide dog who started working at DCS in 2019. He has been a great help to many students and staff bringing a sense of calm and joy to our school experience. He specifically helps students in our ESS program and occasionally visits classrooms. All students are welcome to interact with Rio especially when they need comfort. For those students who are uncertain about dogs, Rio is very gentle around children. While at school he is always accompanied by an adult. Delta Christian is very happy to have Rio on staff as he brings an even greater sense of community to our school.
