Salomé du Toit

Salomé du Toit, Grade 2 Teacher

My name is Salomé du Toit. I was born in Gauteng province in South Africa and I lived most of my life in Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

My daughter and I moved to Canada on December 25, 2018, and I have been blessed to be a part of the DCS community ever since.

My aim in life is to find beauty in everything around me and to experience joy daily – to be mindful of and grateful for the many blessings in my life. Laughing out loud at least once a day is also a priority! The Bible verse that keeps me grounded is Isaiah 43:1: “Do not be afraid, I will save you. I have called you by name, you are mine.”

My deep hope for students is to be anchored in their identity in Christ and to actively seek, explore and share God’s fingerprint.

I hope to instill in students that we are who God says we are and that nothing can separate us from His love. I want to encourage them to be actively involved in their learning process, to serve, and to dream big!
