Personal Profile
I have called Ladner my home for most of my life, even though I’ve only lived here since 2015. I grew up in Richmond, but attended Ladner Baptist church and have lots of extended family in Ladner, so it’s always been second home for me. I now attend Cedar Park Church with my husband, who is the worship director, and 4 kids. I serve in kids ministry, teaching and planning lessons most Sundays. I fill what little free time I have with reading, crafting, or getting some exercise.
Professional Profile
I graduated from Langara college with an Educational Assistant diploma in 2006, and then went on to SFU to get my BED through the Professional Development Program in 2008.
Most of my teaching career has been in primary grades, and now having older elementary kids myself, I am loving the relationship and teachable moments I experience with them and look forward to working with intermediate students. I have coached, run clubs, and job-shared a few times already since having kids of my own.
Philosophical Profile
As a Christian adult caring for and responsible for children, I believe it is asked of me to prepare, pray for, encourage, and set an example for the future generations. I am grateful for the opportunity to give faith-based education to students and help lay a foundation of Christ-centered learning and living.
