Quinta Fourie

Quinta Fourie, Grade 1 Teacher

I was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, a country known for its natural beauty and diversity. I grew up as one of four daughters and feel very blessed to have been brought up in a family where Christian values are close to our hearts. I love music, spending time in nature, and exploring new adventures.

After I finished my schooling career, I went to Stellenbosch University where I obtained my teaching degree and had the opportunity to participate in several mission outreaches. After two years of teaching in South Africa, I went to America for four years, gaining invaluable experience as an Au Pair, as well as teaching in two schools in North Carolina.

After my return to South Africa, I continued my teaching career at a school where we had the liberty to share our faith in Jesus. I learned more and more that not only academics and physical development are needed for a child to excel, but also a knowing of who they are in Christ and that they are uniquely created, much loved, and totally accepted in Him. At the beginning of 2020, my husband, our son, and I decided to move to Canada, embarking on a journey completely new, but with the knowing that this is the path that He has set out for us.

As a teacher, I truly believe that God created each child with a plan and a purpose. I feel extremely blessed to be able to teach in an environment where we are free to share the love of Jesus and to create opportunities where they can come to know their identity in Christ.
