My background is from Ghana, in West Africa but I grew up here in the Lower Mainland. I attended Regent Christian Academy in Surrey, BC, I am married to my wonderful husband Ken and we live in Surrey, BC. Presently Ken and I attend Calvary Worship Centre and are active members of our worship team. In my spare time, music aside, I love to spend time with my family and travel the world.
Upon high school graduation I continued to post-secondary education where I finished a bachelor’s degree in music at the University of British Columbia. I enrolled to continue studies in Education at UBC and completed a degree in Education the following year. I have taught music for over 7 years but have taught in the school system for only 1 year before coming to Delta Christian School.
If there is something profound about music, it is that it is the vehicle to which people learn to build necessary life skills. Through teaching, I have found that music guides individuals through the importance of hard work, persistence and overcoming obstacles and challenges. These challenges might come in various forms as in a physical or a mental challenge. I believe that music has the power to change our lives. I also believe that should we choose to engage, music is a gift from God for us to connect with and encounter divinity.
